This album has the sound of something raw, something one-off, like everything was done in one take. Contained within the songs is a nice balance of thought, mistake, cleverness and happy accident. Whether or not the album was conceived this way is irrelevant, because I want it to be like this, I like this concept. I feel let into a process or a work in progress listening through this album. A few tracks could be throw-aways, but in all this is a solid entry into song-writing and recording for Vangaalen. After listening to this a little Chad-V world has been built up in my mind and I look forward to hearing his more recent record, Skelliconnection.

It should also be noted that Chad is an illustrator, does his own artwork, and it is pretty awesome.
